Craig Cormack, Chef Patron of All Things Culinary, is the Chef at Sofia's at Morgenster. The restaurant was named by Giulio Bertrand, the owner of Morgenster Estate, after Sofia Loren and features celebrated photographs of the young Sofia.
The 40-seater restaurant is situated on the edge of a meadow, with a vine-covered stoep and views of Morgenster’s vineyards, olive groves and cellar. In keeping with its rural charm, Craig’s menus, which change weekly, mix the old and the new. Classic dishes are given a modern twist with new flavours and tastes and use the freshest produce available, including lemons, green figs, loquats, herbs and salads from Morgenster. Of course olives, olive oil and wines from the Estate are served too. A three course meal costs in the region of R220.
Craig will be offering various events, including aperitif evenings when guests will be invited to soak up the calm, rural atmosphere while enjoying a glass of wine and canapés. Sofia’s at Morgenster is also a wedding venue.
