At the Los Angeles County Fair in California, USA, Morgenster
received a Gold Medal for the fourth consecutive year � July 2007
On 11th December 2006 Morgenster's Italian born owner Guilo
Bertrand flew to Rome to receive the world Olive Oil Industry's most
coveted award - L'Extravergue 2007 "Mill of the Year" that
acknowledges the world's best olive oil producer.
Gerrie Duvenage, Morgenster's Olive Production Manager,
received the Achiever of the Year Award at the SAOlive Awards function
in September 2006. Morgenster also received a Silver medal for our
Extra Virgin Olive Oil and the award for The Best Table Olives.
Morgenster walked away with first prize in the Intense Fruity
category of the renowned L'Orciolo d' Oro Competition - the 8th
consecutive that Morgenster has received an award, making Morgenster
the shining light of the new, thriving South African olive oil
industry.
We were awarded a Gold Medal for the third time at the LA
County Fair, which was held in July 2006 . With 386 oils represented
from over 246 producers from all over the world, Morgenster can be
proud of their achievement and international recognition.
Morgenster received a Silver Medal at the Oil China
Exhibition in May 2006
At the Marco Zichella Award in August 2005, South Africa,
Morgenster was chosen by the consumers as the Best Blended Extra
Virgin Olive Oil and took second place in the panel tasting
Morgenster's most exciting and prestigious award was granted
to the Estate at the end of 2005. Morgenster's Extra Virgin Olive Oil
was judged to be The Best Blended Olive Oil in the world - judged from
3000 entries in an open competition held in Italy - L'extravergine. To
crown the achievement Morgenster features prominently in the South
African section of the L'extravergine 2006 guide which lists all the
best olive oils of the world.
For the seventh consecutive year Morgenster's unwavering
quality was earned us an award at the L'Orciolo d'Oro Olive Oil
challenge in Pesaro in July 2005.
Morgenster Estate has been awarded an L'Orciolo d'Oro Award,
in the medium Fruity Category, for the sixth consecutive year (since
1999), signifying premium quality, at Italy's prestigious Olive Oil
challenge in Pesaro in June 2004.
We received a Gold Medal for the second consecutive year in
the South African category at the LA County Fair in California, USA,
in May 2004
We were nominated as one of the Top 40 Extra Virgin Olive
Oils of the World at the Olio 2004 Exhibition in Cologne, Germany,
towards the end of April 2004.

We received the Sol 2004 Gran Menzione Award in Verona,
Italy, in March 2004.
Morgenster Estate has been awarded as the Oil of the Year in
the Southern Hemisphere New Season Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2003
competition in Australia in September.
South African consumers and producers selected us as the Best
Extra Virgin Olive Oil in South Africa at the Marco Zichella
competition in August 2003.
We were awarded a Gold Medal in the South African category at
the LA County Fair Olive Oils of the World 2003, Los Angeles, USA.
Morgenster received a Silver Medal at The International Olive
Oil Awards in Zurich, Switzerland, in March 2003.

We have been nominated as one of the Best 250 Extra Virgin
Olive Oils of the World by Feinschmecker Magazine in Germany, March
2003. - the only South African olive oil mentioned.
L'ORCIOLO D'ORO Award 2002 in Italy: Medium Fruity Category
Morgenster Estate received the floating trophy from SAOGA for
the Best Extra Virgin Olive oil in 2002.
L'ORCIOLO D'ORO Award 2001 in Italy: Intense Fruity Category
Morgenster Extra Virgin Olive Oil has been awarded an
international award in Switzerland, at the Gourmessa 2001 Gourmet
Festival.
L'ORCIOLO D'ORO Award 2000 in Italy: Intense Fruity Category
Morgenster Estate received the L'ORCIOLO D'ORO Award in Italy
in 1999 - Intense Fruity Category. Morgenster was the first South
African Olive Oil to receive this award and was entitled to display
the "gold seal" of quality around the neck of the bottle.
